G1NBC and The Dance Project are in need of additional swing dancers for this Friday’s film production, The Inaugural Ball. Filming will include red carpet interviews, the mayor’s inauguration, The Dance Project student testimonies and the opportunity to swing dance to LIVE MUSIC!

The Inaugural Ball Q&A
Q: What exactly will be filmed?
A: G1NBC will be filming an episode in their “Howellywood Series”. The Inaugural Ball will feature red carpet arrivals and interviews, student testimonies, the swearing in of the mayor, The Dance Project receiving the key to the city, live entertainment and BEST OF ALL, swing dancing!!
Q: Where is the event?
A: Cornerstone EPC, 9455 Hilton Rd, Brighton, MI 48114
Q: How much does it cost to attend?
A: Friday’s event is FREE. There are no tickets needed.
Q: What time should I arrive?
A: Please arrive by 5:30. Filming will begin at 5:55, starting with red carpet interviews.
Q: What is the dress code?
A: Semi-formal or formal. Please refer to The Dance Project’s posted dress code.
Q: Will there be dinner?
A: There will be light snacks and beverages. Feel free to bring a snack to share, no nuts due to allergy restrictions.
Q: I thought this was a dance?
A: The Inaugural Ball is not a traditional TDP dance. There will be an opportunity to swing dance to live music during the filming and we would love to see you showcase positive swing dancing moves!
Q: Will there be a DJ?
A: No, there will be a live entertainer joining us to perform a couple of songs.
Q: I thought this was a fundraiser?
A: The fundraiser will be hosted at a later date.
Q: When do we get to see the movie?
A: The film will be broadcast at an exclusive viewing party at the historic Howell Theater, date TBD.
Q: What if I don’t want to be filmed?
A: We completely respect your decision! Not all of us want to be movie stars. Since this is a film production, if you do not wish to be captured on camera, then this might not be the right event for you. Fortunately, we have several exciting events coming up and we’d love for you to join us!
